Who We Are

Steven M. Bartz
President and Chief Investment Officer
Steve is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the investment management process. He previously worked for a management consulting firm and spent over 16 years at Continental Bank/Bank of America where he was a Vice President and a manager in the Institutional Investment Management division. He earned his B.A. degree in finance from the University of Illinois at Champaign, and an M.B.A. in investment finance from DePaul University. Steve is a Registered Investment Advisor.

Philip B. Karlson
CFA, Executive Vice President and Chief Equity Strategist
Phil joined Graybill, Bartz & Associates in 2000 and is a principal of the firm. He previously worked at Bank of America for 10 years where he was a Senior Vice President. Phil worked in an advisory role with institutional clients on cash, investment grade bonds, equities, and asset allocation. Phil earned his B.A. in economics and finance from North Park College. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR) and the Investment Analyst Society of Chicago.


	Donald M. Canfield Executive Vice President Don joined Graybill, Bartz & Associates in 2004 and is a principal of the firm. He was a Senior Vice President with 26 years of experience at Bank of America. Don managed an investment group responsible for $10 billion in assets. He earned his B.B.A. with High Honors from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
